Our Mission

Our members practice, train and prepare to serve the community as professional responders.  Each year the Corps relies upon the generous support of the residents and businesses in the community to maintain this level of professionalism.  The Allendale Ambulance Corps is a non-profit (501c3) organization that is funded primarily on voluntary contributions to provide superb service to its community.

Our History

We were founded in June of 1937.  A group of 17 men were the Charter Members, trained in first aid. This was the first ambulance service to be formed in Northwest Bergen County.  From its beginnings, the corps served the towns of Allendale, Saddle River, Waldwick, Franklin Lakes, Ramsey, Ho-Ho-Kus and Upper Saddle River and covered the area of Route 17 from the NY state line to Route 4 in Paramus.

The Corps now serves the borough of Allendale and also provides mutual aid to the surrounding communities with 45 active members, including 15 youth squad members. The Corps responded to both the 1993 bombing and the 2001 attack on the World Trade Center to provide mutual aid.
